Whether you're on-site, in a meeting, or writing a report, strong communication is as essential as your technical knowledge. Join us to explore the vital interpersonal and professional communication skills that every engineer needs to succeed in the field. Topics will include effective verbal and written communication on job sites and in the office, how to tailor your message to different audiences (from clients and contractors to supervisors and city officials) and presenting technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. We will touch on digital communication etiquette and building your professional presence through teamwork and networking.
This event is open to all ACEC Indiana members and WTS members. Topics will range from basic business etiquette and workplace professionalism to communication skills and networking, providing tips and tricks for transitioning into professional life.
